Balancing Hollywood and motherhood can be stressful, but actress Holly Robinson Peete makes it a priority to relax and pamper herself. The celebrity mother of four took time out of her busy schedule to talk about teaming up with the Suave Skin campaign to encourage busy moms to take time to indulge in the little things.

ESSENCE.COM:  How does it feel to be the face of Suave Naturals Wild Cherry Blossom Indulgent Body Wash?

HOLLY ROBINSON PEETE:  I love it.  I'm a busy woman, trying to raise kids, and it's important for women to give themselves a break. It's important to make yourself feel happy.  I feel the stress that every mom does, and I love encouraging women to take that time out to treat themselves. The really nice part is that you get to shower yourself with beauty.

ESSENCE.COM: How is Suave specifically addressing African-American women's beauty needs?

PEETE:  The products are for all women, but they help African-American women because we work very hard. It's something about our spirit that sometimes we don't give ourselves a break. This is for women who are always at the end of the line and don't put themselves first.  Every woman deserves to give herself a break to indulge in the little things.

ESSENCE.COM: What are some beauty products that are a must-have for you?

PEETE: I'm a moisturizer girl, and I love the look of glowing skin. I'm all about hand creams and lotion. I have lotion on me all the time. My kids have lotion in their backpacks, and I'm known to run down the driveway after my husband to make sure he put on lotion. I have "ashphobia."

ESSENCE.COM: You always look great. What is one of your top beauty secrets?

PEETE: I like inexpensive mascara. I bend the brush into the shape of a hockey stick and it gets all of the lashes. I think that the less expensive beauty products are the best ones to use.
