I absolutely love this new sound! Sometimes we have to venture out and discover ourselves and Michelle did just that. Your mom is terrific and gave you honest feedback. A musical artist should be able to spread his/her wings in different genres. The new outward look reflects the new inward spark...which indicates a wonderful growth. This sound is a true departure from DC which shows true individuality. The roots will always be there, while the branches are growing and the talent continues to bloom! The fall on the set shows that Michelle was able to get up (with God picking her up) and blasting her off into superstardom! I have always been a fan of Michelle's. She has her own unique style and I feel she truly understood her role in the group. I have all 3 of her albums. Unexpected is pop and makes you want to dance. Keep moving forward Michelle!!

I'm proud to hear from Michelle again. Her album sounds very good. It is good that she loves all genre of music and is willing to take the risk of sampling some of the different styles of them. I like her she totally different from B and Kelly. I love her new look. Its far better than it was when she was with Destiny's Child. She not a Beyonce' colon which I like. I really think that its her time to shine. Her solo style is so different, it's nice. I would not put her music in the R&B genre, I think its more Dance/ Techno. I think that will do well. I think people who aren't really feeling her are still looking at her as part of DC and she not. She branching out and doing her own thing which it great! Do you!
