I am in ATL and it was the same here at work the day after the election. You could hear a pin drop. Of all the topics we have discussed leading up to the election - debate, economy, bailout, the day after the election mum's the word around here. To this day, no one has talked about it!! it is a little unsettling, considering we typically have not had any issues relating and discussing a number of topics.

Wow this IS 2008 isn't it, People get over it and your narrow ways of thinking blacks are here to stay along with many, many others races how narrow minded some are still, I feel so very sorry for those with small minds and I will pray to our BIG God to help them to see peolple as we are equal! Be blessed life is short!

Being from Mississippi, I am appalled and ashamed at how people are acting. Had the other side won, there would be no reports of not being able to talk about the election. It's just because the nation is trying to move in a positive direction, and the good ole boy, status quo system of Mississippi and the Old South is being challenged. I hope these kids keep their heads up, and these parents fight for their children's right to discuss national events.
