ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS IS THAT TRUE GOD- FEARING CHRISTIANS DON'T SLANDER AND HATE ONE ANOTHER. (THAT'S TRUE CHRISTIANS.) NOT WHAT OTHERS SAY THEY ARE AND DO THE OPPOSITE. THE GOD OF THE HOLY BIBLE IS A GOD OF LOVE REGARDLESS OF SKIN COLOR. ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE NOT RACIST. I HAVE CELEBRATED WITH SO MANY WHITE AMERICANS FROM MY HOME TOWN THAT VOTED FOR OBAMA AND THEY ARE PROUD. THERE IS ACTUALLY MORE OF THEM DRIVING AROUND WITH THE " OBAMA" STICKER ON THE BACK OF THEIR VEHICLES THEN THERE ARE BLACK AMERICANS. WE HAVE HAD ONLY ONE INCIDENT OF RACISM THAT I'M AWARE OF. AND THAT WAS THAT SOMEONE WENT IN THE PERSONS YARD AND WROTE VULGAR REMARKS ON THE "OBAMA' SIGN. BUT NOW IF I'M APPROACHED, AND THERE ARE UGLY STATEMENTS SAID TOWARD ME OR MY PEOPLE I WILL TAKE A STAND, AND I WILL DO IT WITHOUT CURSING AND ACTING LIKE I HAVE LOST MY MIND. THERE IS A WAY TO SAY, AND DO THINGS. I AM CONFIDENT IN WHO I AM SO I DON'T HAVE TO LOWER MYSELF TO MAKE A POINT. IF THEY DON'T GET; IT'S NOT MY PROBLEM
FIRST OF ALL, IT'S NOT ALL WHITE'S WHO ARE RACIST. IT'S JUST A FEW WHO REFUSE TO MOVE ON IN LIFE. THERE WAS JUST AS MUCH WHITE'S THAT VOTED FOR PRESIDENT-ELECT OBAMA THEN THERE WERE BLACK AMERICANS. TO CALL THEM NAMES AND LASH OUT AT THEM DOES NOT MAKE US BETTER. WE ARE BETTER PEOPLE WHEN WE IGNORE THE LASH-OUTS. I'M SO GLAD THAT I LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA; A STATE THAT ONCE WAS RED, BUT HAS PROVE TO OTHERS THAT WE CAN WORK TOGETHER AS AMERICANS OF ALL CREED AND COLOR AND BECAME A BLUE STATE. I'M NOT GOING TO LET ANYBODY RUN ME OUT OF THIS COUNTRY, BECAUSE I WAS BORN HERE AS WELL AND EVERY AMERICAN HAS A RIGHT TO VOTE FOR WHOEVER THEY WANT. IF THESE CRUEL THINGS ARE HAPPENING TO CHILDREN IN SCHOOL AND ELSEWHERE; SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE THRU THE COURTS.BECAUSE IT'S NOT RIGHT. BUT PARENTS SHOULD SIT DOWN WITH THEIR CHILDREN AND TELL THEM THAT JUST BECAUSE OBAMA WAS ELECTED DOES NOT GIVE BLACK AMERICANS THE GREEN LIGHT TO BE IGNORANT. JUST BECAUSE OTHER RACES HAVE DONE THAT TO OUR ANCESTORS DOES NOT GIVE US THE RIGHT TO ACT UGLY. YOU LEARN FROM THE PAST IN ORDER TO GET TO THE FUTURE. THIS IS THE FUTURE FOR ALL AMERICANS RATHER SOME LIKE IT OR NOT. PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, AND ALIKE TALK TO YOUR CHILDREN, YOUR FAMILY. THIS MAN HAS WORKED HARD TO GET TO THIS POINT IN HIS LIFE; DON'T BRING SHAME ON HIM! IF PEOPLE WANT TO BE RACIST; LET THEM BE, JUST DON'T LOWER YOUR STANDARD. ALL THEY WANT YOU TO DO IS SAY SOMETHING THAT WILL TRIGGER A FIGHT, AND THEN WE ARE PUT ON THE FRONT PAGE AS STARTING A RIOT. REMEMBER, IT TAKES TWO TO TANGLE; BUT IT ALSO TAKE TWO TO MAKE A THING GO RIGHT. YOU CHOOSE! ALL THIS " SUCK IT UP", " GET OVER IT" WANT SOLVED ANYTHING. LET THEM BE THE ONE SAYING UGLY THINGS. OBAMA HAS WON, LET'S KEEP IT THAT WAY! OH, BY THE WAY I'M A PROUD BLACK AMERICAN
I've relocated from SC to MD and later PA and fortunately, I have not experienced anything like this. I have felt "the eyes" staring and roaming at me in certain places such as the gas station and restuarants. I just look, smile, and keep stepping. Racism is alive and well, and sadly it's not going to go away. I'm excited that we have our First Black President of the US, something so many didn't think would happen. Whoever has a problem with that needs to suck it up and get over it. It is what it is and I look forward to so many great things in store for our country. :o)
I am one of those people down south who's state was highlighted in red and that is and will always be an unfortunate way of factor in Alabama. I am proud to have voted for Pres. Obama and my family and I have to deal with the remarks on a daily base. When the same methods of teachings of racism is being taught down from generation to generation the world will never change. If they could replace a lot of that evilness in there hearts with the power of God there would be no color barriers. If people could only listen to the messages that were given instead of the color of skin, then they would know he is the right man for the job. He is not the cause of the way our government is but the faught of the person that's been in office before he came along and what is he they ask A REPUBLICAN.
