Actress Anika Noni Rose Hosts AfroPoP Documentary

Actress Anika Noni Rose known for her roles in "Dreamgirls," HBO's "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency,"and the voice of the first Black Disney princess in the upcoming animated feature "The Princess and the Frog" has signed on to host the documentary series "AfroPoP: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange."

You can catch the series on public television starting on October 18. AfroPoP takes a look at contemporary life, art and pop culture in the African Diaspora, sponsored by the National Black Programming Consortium, which is responsible for about 80 percent of the Black programming on public TV today.
