Two Officers on Leave in Probe of Rihanna Photo Leak
UPDATE 9/11/09: Just when you thought the Chris Brown and Rihanna case had subsided, another bombshell drops. According to the Associated Press, two police officers have been placed on leave as part of an investigation into who leaked a photo of the pop princess's bruised and battered face after she was assaulted by ex-beau Brown, the officers' attorneys said Friday.
Rebecca Reyes and Blanca Lopez were "assigned to home" with pay, pending the outcome of criminal and administrative probes into how TMZ.com obtained the alarming photo, which showed Rihanna's face and mouth with several bruises.
Attorneys for both Reyes and Lopez maintain their clients had nothing to do with the leak. We'll be watching as this story unfolds.—ZH

Chris Brown Becomes A Public Servant
UPDATE 9/4/09: For the next six months Chris Brown will be getting down and dirty collecting trash, removing gaffiti, washing cars, cleaning and maintaining grounds, according to the Associated Press.
Although Brown will be supervised during his hours of hard labor, Richmond Police Chief Bryan Norwood says he'll have to hire extra security should he feel he needs it upon public recognition during his service. "— KNB

Chris Brown's Baby Blue Bowtie Riles Twitterverse
UPDATE 9/4/09: Enough folks commented on Brown's choice of attire for his "Larry King Live" interview and now it has become a topic of dicussion and fodder. Someone even went to great lengths to create a Twitter account called chrsbrwnsbowties, which quickly garnered 650 followers only a couple of hours after its initial post on Wednesday night.
In less than a full work day, the account had 2000 followers, which have mysteriously been removed wihout notice. Some of the tweets pretend to be the crooner reminiscing on his fomer girlfriend Rihanna.—KNB

UPDATE 9/4/09: In July, Rihanna played artists to a few people when she inked them at a tatoo parlor, East Side Ink, and a day later NYC Department of Health issued the place a citation for operating with an unlicensed tattoo artist on site.—KNB

Oprah to Chris: Get Help
UPDATE 9/3/09: Chris Brown expressed his disappointment that the "Oprah" show on domestic violence was inspired by he and Rihanna. In a recent interview with People magazine, Brown addressed how slighted he felt.
"I commend Oprah on being like, 'This is a problem,' but it was a slap in my face. I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, 'Okay, I'm going to help both of these people out.'"
Oprah's rep replied with the following statement:
"Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs."—KNB
