Tonight soulstress Chrisette Michele brings down the house with a live performance for VH1's Soulstage, which was recorded two weeks ago in New York City.

During the taping, Def Jam's  powerhouse tantalized the crowd with her jazz-infused vocals and eclectic riffs and scats and made sure never to let the audience see her sweat—literally. Her style team made sure she remained camera-ready and picture-perfect after she completed every song.

Despite all the fuss, Michele kept the audience engaged by sharing a little self-depracating humor, commenting that she was a no-fuss kind of woman who preferred to keep her look simple with a hint of lipgloss. 

Michele's new album, "Epiphany," will be released May 5.—KNB
