Whoever said opposites attract must have been talking about Crystal "Cri$tyle" Johnson, the 26-year-old hit songwriter who has penned hits for Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Natasha Bedingfield and Brandy to name-drop a few, and her hubby Jamal "J-Roc" Pompey, 26. After meeting nearly seven years ago, the lovebirds exchanged vows at The Pavillion in Marietta, Georgia. It wasn't until Pompey popped the question at their favorite restaurant last year that Johnson received confirmation of what she had always known. "The moment I realized I could be myself with Jamal is when I knew he was the one for me," she says. "We have so much in common and I love that we can laugh and enjoy one another's company." Pompey echoes his bride's sentiments, "I knew Crystal was the one when we would spend time together and I would never want to leave her," says Pompey, a bank loan officer and music producer.

The crimson-and-crème-themed ceremony was quaint and attended by 100 guests. The Pavillion glowed with candles, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. Johnson, who admits that she doesn't do "dresses" too often, opted for a David's Bridal princess gown and ballerina slippers for comfort while Pompey opted for a simple tux. Crooner Q, formerly of 112, serenaded the bride with Stevie Wonder's "You and I." Meanwhile, Johnson, whose father is deceased, was escorted down the aisle by her brother, Rufus, 36. That's when the groom became emotional. "I started to cry and began to turn my head because I knew that if she saw me crying she would start crying," Pompey confesses. "She was so beautiful and I could not wait for her to stand by my side and call her my wife."

Celine Dion's "The Power of Love" guided the newlyweds' footsteps as they shared their first dance as husband and wife. "My husband is so sincere and generous," Johnson says, "and will give you the shirt off his back-that's what I love about him most." As family and friends enjoyed the classic mixes of one of ATL's finest, DJ Brad, the blissful couple, who recently purchased their first home, reveled in all the love surrounding them. "Just like I stated in my vows, I promise to be by Crystal's side through good times and bad times," says Pompey. "I promised to also love her unconditionally and be the man that she needs to head a household." And the hit-making songwriter doesn't plan to let her man down either. "My promise to Jamal is to always put us first," says Johnson. "You'll never see us arguing in public, we're always lovey-dovey because we're in this marriage together, forever and always."
