The Black Women's Guide to What's Hot Now!

Dishing With 'Atlanta Housewives' Divo Dwight Eubanks

Our favorite Atlanta divo is back on season two of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." He stopped by the ESSENCE office to dish on the season, the special bond he formed with newest cast member Kandi Burruss, and whether or not he really plans to jump the broom.

On the Drama on the New Season
"This is who they are and there is no script. Nothing surprises me about the housewives or any women. They are being who they are living out their lives and having fun. To see Sheree act that way with the party planner is normal and the gentleman was out of order. I get along with all the women and leave them to their drama. Sheree is the most special one in the group."

On Fatherhood
"I love the idea of having kids. I like life and all of the components. I think I'll make a great father whether it's a man and a man or a woman and a man.  When you find true love, it has no barriers, whether Black, White or same sex. Seeing Lisa and Ed's son always makes me want my own DW Jr."

On the New Housewife Kandi Burruss
"I didn't know much about Xscape, and when I was introduced to her, I just fell in love. If you really want to know someone, meet their family. Her Aunt Bertha, her mom, and I all just bonded. They invite me over for Sunday dinner, and they cook everything. I may not look like I eat, but I dig in. We have a good ol' southern time. That is really who I am. I like caviar, but collard greens I love."

To the other 'Housewives' Casts
"Y'all better get on it because the "Atlanta Housewives" are hitting it. It's even bigger and the ratings are already beating the last season. I don't know what will happen next."

On Getting His Own Show
"I'm working on several things and still figuring out what I want to do. I know the networks are having a tough time figuring out what to do with me, because most days I don't know what I want to do with me. So it's a challenge, but I have several things I like to do. Life is just starting for me at 50, and don't I look good? Definitely stay tuned."

Dwight, love his poise, his control with the women, his willingness to help. I haven't seen NeNe being straight forward. I see something different. Dwight is straight forward. He pulled Lisa's person to the side and told him about the runway, he pulled Lisa to the side and talked to her. He tried to inform Sheree about how to properly host/showcase a runway show, but of course, she appears to busy trying to dominate. When you ask and /or someone offers to assist, listen, don't always get caught up in the "it's mine", thing.

Please get real people! Why can't we have have reality shows like this; let's have some fun; everything is not a revolutionary cause for black people; this is not the 60s civil rights era; people will think what they want regardless; this is pure entertainment; smart people know this does not represent all blacks; stop with all the high polluted behaviors; I'm sure that some of the things on the showed are played up and other things played down; but it shows a variety of women with different interests, issues, and cirtances, and I love it!!!

I am sooo glad that I do not look to any of these woman as role models only as the entertainment that I look for when I turn on the TV. I may not have their money, but I also dont have their insecurities. we can call it what we want, sure they are making fools of themselves, but they are laughing all the way to the bank, becaus we all watch it just like the soap opera that it is.
