Kandi Burruss on Being Nixed from BET's 'Tiny & Toya' and Made an 'Atlanta' Housewife

Reality stars endure the Hollywood shuffle just as much big-time actors. The newest Georgia peach to join the cast of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Kandi Burruss, knows this firsthand.

"I was supposed to be on the 'Tiiny & Toya' show along with our friend Joy, Lyfe Jennings's ex-fiancée," explains Burruss, an original member of the early 90s female quartet, Xscape. "For whatever reason, the producer and Joy had an uneasy disagreement during the first meeting that I was unable to attend and he simply decided to do the show with Tiny and Toya. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to getting into reality television, but the next week I was approached to join the cast of  'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,' so it all worked out."

Although a fan of the ATL installment of the "Housewives" franchise, Burruss was still a bit skeptical and has every right to be since the show hasn't aired, but she's received backlash from the blogosphere about her engagement to Ashely "AJ" Jewel. All the gossip inspired the title of her upcoming album, "B.L.O.G." (B------ Love Online Gossip).

"I came up with the concept based on things that were going that were relevant to what's going on in my life now including the show and what things have been written about me and my fiancée by bloggers," she admits. "The whole album isn't about the show but there are definitely songs inspired from the show like "Fly Above," and "It Must Be Good."
"B.L.O.G.," which is scheduled for a September release, will also feature "Superwoman," a duet and anthem for single mothers with Burruss's dear friend, former Xscape member and T.I.'s fiancée, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle. Other guest artists include Rick Ross, Gucci Man and Rashieda.—KNB

Kandi my prayers and deepest sympathy goes out to you,A.J"s family and kids.Regardless to the public display of your relationship and the negative views he got from your mother,he was still a decent human being. I love you all dearly and I still continue to pray for you all and the kids for the most part. You are a good well respected young lady and your mother did a great job at raising you.Just know we all must go some day, God makes no mistakes,A.J. is in a well restful place smiling down on you,Riley and his kids. I think he would want you all to go on and live your lives. Love you all, keep you in prayer

I support Kandi, and A.J.'s children and family, and that is what really matters in this situation. All the rest of their personal problems is really NONE of our DAMNED business. This is why we sisters get dogged out so much, because we're not paying attention to our own issues and drama. Haters, beware: God is watching your words, pettiness, and judgments, during this difficult time of Kandi's loss, too. Are you behaving with grace, maturity, and humility?

Regardless of the situation surrounding the death of AJ, he did not deserve to die. Shame on the murderer. Why can't people just walk away from a fight. My prayer s are with Kandi, AJ, and especially with his children. Also to the mother's, because I am quite sure he had a special place in their hearts ,too.
