Kanye West VMA Tribute At Toronto Film Festival
Kanye West Made a Laughing Stock at Toronto Film Festival
UPDATE 9/20/09: Taylor Swift might want to move forward, but industry folks can't stop talking about the now-infamous Kanye West VMA's outburst, according to E! Online.
During the Cadillac People's Choice Awards held at the Toronto Film Festival on Friday night, White Stripes Jack White frontman re-enacted West's notorious interruption of Swift's acceptance speech. Just as the director Emmit Malloy of the concert documentary, "The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights," began explaining the inspiration for the film to the audience, White snatched the mike and said: "Imma let you finish—but Orson Welles made the greatest movie of all time!" He even closed his tribute to the Chi-town rapper with a shrug of indifference causing raucous laughter from the crowd.—KNB

Swift Wants to Forget Kanye Fiasco
UPDATE 9/20/09: Country songbird Taylor Swift wants everyone to get over Kanye West's outburst at last week's MTV Video Music Awards because she most certainly has.
The singer, who accepted West's apology after he called her following her "The View" appearance, has forgiven and forgotten and wants media hounds to back off once and for all with the inquiries.
According to WENN, Swift immediately switched gears during a radio interview in Tampa Bay, Florida, on Thursday when they inquired about the incident.
"You know, honestly, I'm trying not to make it into a bigger deal than it already is. It's kind of become more of a bigger deal than I thought it would be," Swift said. "I would just like to move on a little bit. I didn't know what to think, but I think we should talk about something else. It's nothing I feel like we should talk about."—KNB

Radio Stations Pull Kanye's Music
UPDATE 9/17/09: Taylor Swift might have forgiven and forgotten about Kanye West's tirade, but those who control the airwaves are still holding a grudge, according to Fox40.com.
Despite making a public apology to Swift on the Jay Leno show and picking up the phone and calling her after her appearance on "The View," San Joaquin Valley Radio station 95.1 has removed the Chi-town's rappers music off its playlist on Monday.

Kanye Gives a More Remorseful Apology on 'The Jay Leno Show'
UPDATE 9/14/09: Holding back tears, Kanye West offered a more heartfelt apology before his performance with Jay-Z and Rihanna on the season premiere of "The Jay Leno Show" on Monday night.
"Dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took anything away from a talented artist...I only wanted to help people, you know, my entire life, and I immediately knew in this situation that it was wrong...it was someone's emotions that I stepped on. It was rude. Period. I'd like to be able to apologize to [Taylor Swift] in person," Ye said on the show.
Things got emotional when Leno—who said he was fortunate enough to meet Kanye's mother, Dr. Donda West, several years ago before her sudden death—asked the hip-hop A-lister what he thought his mom would have said about the incident. The question helped to shed light on West's behavior. His eyes welling, Kanye was at a loss for words. "Would she be disappointed in this? Would she give you a lecture?" Leno asked.
After a long pause, Kanye answered: "Obviously, I deal with hurt. And so many celebrities, they never take the time off, and I've never taken the time off to really... I'm just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else's hurt. And I don't try to justify it because I was in the wrong, but I need to take some time off to analyze how I'm going to make it through the rest of this life, how I'm going to improve."—ZH
