Soul diva Patti LaBelle and her longtime girlfriends Sarah Dash and Nona Hendryx (collectively known as LaBelle) are set to reunite on December 19 to perform in their first concert in 32 years at the Apollo Theater in New York City. The trio recently decided to give it a go again with the debut of their new album, “Back To Now.” The CD is an extension of the group’s trademark blend of styles, abstract harmonies and political views, and incorporates the musical talents of Wyclef Jean, who produced several tracks. In an interview with Boston.com, Grammy-winning singer Patti LaBelle commented on the group’s abilities all these years later: “It was a surprise to me that we still had it.”
