NFL Broadcast Superstar James Brown's Memoir Shares His Life Story
To millions of gridiron fans he's JB. Now in an inspiring new memoir, "Role of a Lifetime: Reflections on Faith, Family and Significant Living" (FaithWords/Hachette Book Group, $24.99), sports commentator extraordinaire James Brown leaves no doubt why he's one of America's most popular and likable broadcasters.
Though he's been surrounded by outsized personas such as Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw for twelve seasons on FOX NFL Sunday and Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe on CBS' venerable The NFL Today, Brown has shattered several sports records and blazed trails on and off the court and field. This Harvard graduate is a former NBA draft pick, partial owner of the Washington Nationals, co-founder of a flourishing company (Brown Technology Group), and a three-time Emmy award winner. In his memoir which includes a foreword by classy Super Bowl winning coach Tony Dungy, Brown reveals he's most proud of being a husband, father, grandfather, and especially of his relationship with God.--P.H.B.
