Police Investigates Sean Levert's Jail Death

Singer Sean Levert, the younger brother of Gerald Levert, died on March 30 in the Cuyahoga County Jail in Cleveland, Ohio, after officials failed to properly give him his prescribed medication. Levert even pleaded with officers for his meds and was later told he would have to wait to see a doctor, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Writer Connie Schultz suggests, "Levert might still be alive if someone, anyone, had cared to protect him." Police are now investigating the case, after a huge outrage from the Cleveland community.

This is a sad situation for the Levert family, and the fans. My heart just aches, and I feel very sad. We must all realize that God is in control, and will have the last word of everything. My love, thoughts, and prayers will always continue for the Levert family; most importantly, justice will be served. The jailers need to read the book of Leviticus in the Old Testament of the King James version of the Bible. Then, they will know the realities of the laws of man. Luv ya, family, and may God Bless!

This is a very heartbreaking story about the Sean LeVert. I hope one day that this family will get their justice for their son, brother and father. If he was ill and in need of his medication, he should have not been denied. It shows, how many other men in general have suffered behind the hands of other's while being incarcerated. New procedures should be made mandatory, that these men are treated promptly when they are suffering from illnesses. The sadness of this story, this family had already suffered a loss, and then to have it happen for the second time is just devastating. We must remember that "God Almighty" is in control here, he will make sure that justice is given and therefore, Sean will be able to Rest in Peace. "God" Bless this family.

I am a HUGE fan of the LeVert family, when Gerald died I felt I loss a friend, his music is beautiful, true and heart felt. My prayers go out to the entire family. I play Gerald's music DAILY, he is on my iPod. In my eyes he was the velet teddy bear.
