Serena Williams Beats Sister Venus to Take Wimbledon Crown

Tennis phenoms Venus and Serena Williams battled it out today for Wimbledon's women's singles championship, and after a six-year absence from the top spot, Serena walked away the victor. "She was just too good today," big sis Venus said of her sibling rival. Serena won the match 7-6 (3), 6-2 to take her third Wimbledon championship. "I'm still in shock," Serena told the crowd after her win.

I watch the match, I am so proud of Serena. Serena got 11 grand slam titles, if she wins the US open she will equal Billie Jeans records. Well done Serena, you are the best tennis player ever

I like Serena, this sister is Beautiful, cultured, Educated and as given back big time. Serena have build schools in Africa and planning to do the same in the US. I got lots of respect for Mr Williams.

I love Serena & Venus. They make me so proud. They have been to hell and back because of severe injuries, personal tragedy and racism. They're astoundingly strong, both phisically & mentally. Their parents, Richard & Oracene, have done a remarkable job and deserve a lot of credit. Richard taught his daughters how to play tennis (without having any tennis training himself) in a neighbourhood where they so easily could have been shot dead. Despite any danger, they stepped onto the public courts and did their thing. Venus could have played better today and I thought she was going to win, but Serena was on top form - her serve was frighteningly impressive. I'm happy for Serena because her wait for another Wimbledon singles title is over. Venus is still a winner since she and Serena won the doubles event. Hopefully, Venus will win the US Open singles title this year and will continue to play Serena in grand slam singles finals. THEY ARE THE BEST!
