Los Angeles Pastor Apologizes for Spending Church's Money

The Reverend John Hunter, 51, apologized on Sunday in front of 6,000 worshipers at three services for using the church credit cards to pay for $122,000 worth of family vacations, jewelry and auto supplies, according to the Los Angeles Times. Hunter also failed to pay several years of back taxes. He is working with federal authorities to pay back the money.

Well at least he stayed and faced the church members. I've read cases where the Pastor simply disappears, never to be seen again.

Like a couple of the others stated...That's the reason why people don't want to have anything to do with churches now. But you know what... EVERYBODY is not anointed to preach. It's not their calling. They might think it is, but it's not. I feel so bad for the people. All I can say is that they need to pray for their church.

It is an unfortunate situation for the church, but we have long known that church ers existed. Mr. Hunter just managed to go a bit too far and allowed the dirty rug of his ministry wrongdoing to slip from underneath him.
