The Black Women's Guide to What's Hot Now!

Blacks Against Obama

Senator Barack Obama kept his cool after being heckled by a group of what appeared to 20 African-American men at a rally in Coral Gables, Florida. The men interrupted the presidential hopeful’s speech, screaming and holding up handmade signs that read, “Barack Obama endorsed by KKK,” “Jesse Jackson hates Obama,” “Obama for abortions,” and “Obama for gay marriage.”

Obama was speaking to a crowd of close to 5,000 at the University of Miami basketball arena, discussing Senator John McCain’s record on women's issues and the economy, when the ruckus occurred. At one point, he stopped his speech and directed his attention to protestors saying, “Hey, young people out there, it’s no problem for you to put your signs up, but let everybody, let me finish what I have to say, all right?”

When the protesters didn’t comply, their outbursts received an even stronger wave of boos and jeers from the crowd of supporters as local police and Secret Service escorted them out of the arena. The men, known as “Blacks Against Obama,” are said to be part of a Miami-based group called “Michael Warns.”

After the group was removed, Obama calmly resumed business as usual saying, “All right, guys, see ya! Now, let’s get back to work.”

A similar group of Obama hecklers appeared at an event in Tampa last August.

I am very embarassed for this group of black people to be acting this way so you do not like Obama but this is takin it to a whole nother level. I am sure they could have found a way to protest a little different than that. We have Idiots in the world and that was a handful of them.

Those homemade signs! So disgraceful!!! McCain only seems like he is just "saying" what he would do for us (black americans). I would like to know where is that track record at? When has he ever in all of his 26 years in the senate ever fought for civil rights?.....well all except for that immigration mess, but, still they are not AMERICANS! Do these black men know how long we have fought for our rights in this country? Do they know how long Our ppl have been dying for respect and equality? Who cares about someone elses personal life issues like being gay or abortions? We as a race all know that we hate when the government gets in our buisness am I right or wrong? Abortions I believe are right in anyone's case that is for a woman to decide.....look at the crazy women have 3 and 4 kids that tries to drown them all, or put a newborn in the damned microwave? What about that young mother that has 5 or 6 children and there is no one there to help her and she refuses to protect herself sexually and does not want to get her tubes tied resulting in an unstableenviroment for her family. She would end up like a lot of black single mothers dependent on the government? And McCain and Palin want to OUTLAW abortion...i thinks not! What do some middle- class and poor black americans see in McCain-Palin? I do not see how they would represent Me! Anybody else feel the way i feel?
