Brother Clinton: Former President Becomes a Sigma

Former President Bill Clinton may soon become a member of Phi Beta Sigma, Inc., a Black Greek letter fraternity, according to the Examiner.com. The organization is reported to have voted on inducting President Clinton, Reverend Al Sharpton and Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Stevie Wonder as honorary members. If, in fact, Clinton is inducted into the fraternity, he will be the first former President of the United States to become a member of a historically Black Greek letter organization. The induction ceremony is said to take place later this year.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated was founded at Howard University in 1914. The organization is hosting its National Conclave this week in New Orleans, Louisiana. ¬-M.B.

What do you think about Phi Beta Sigma inducting President Clinton as an honorary member?
