Kansas City Store Prints Receipt With Racial Slur
Keith Slater, a Kansas City, Missouri, man says when he returned a pair of shoes to Journeys, a store in a local mall, he was handed a receipt with a racial slur printed on it. The receipt read “Cust: Dumb” and then the N-word followed. Slater never got a full explanation about what happened other than an employee entered a generic code. Journeys’ corporate office later issued a statement saying that the company is investigating the incident and that the employee who made the inappropriate mistake had been terminated.

the question should be why is that slur programmed into their system as a "generic code".
