Maya Angelou Preparing for Emotional Inauguration

Living legend Maya Angelou is eagerly anticipating watching every second of President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration from her couch in North Carolina, according to the Associated Press. The 80-year-old author and poet read her piece "Pulse of the Morning" at President Bill Clinton's inauguration in 1992 and was the first poet in more than 30 years to speak at an inauguration, since Robert Frost spoke at the request of John F. Kennedy. She is excited for poet Elizabeth Alexander to get the spotlight when Obama is sworn in next week.—CJ
