Presidential Pooch: The Choice for Malia and Sasha Narrows
Drum roll, please ... Well not quite yet. The search for the White House dog is just about complete, according to President-elect Barack Obama. The First Family's quest for a dog has been narrowed down to two choices: either a Portuguese water dog or a labradoodle, according to AOL News. "We're closing in on it," Obama said, jokingly adding, "This has been tougher than finding a commerce secretary." The family hopes to get the next presidential pooch from a shelter.—BB

First off, Congratulations to President Elect Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and to our first children, Malia and Sasha. I personally feel that the girls should have a dog of their own to love and care for as they grow and blossom in the next 8 years in the White House. Yes, I do see our President Elect being re-elected 2nd time around. I am so proud to be an American especially knowing that I am represented by such an intelligent, honest and noble gentleman.

I think they should call the pooch "Malaika" which means Angel in Swahili,which is their grandfather's language
