Smiths and Obamas Light Up Nobel Prize Activities

Grandmom was on to something with the saying "beside every successful man is a strong woman," as the Nobel Prize activities get a dose of Black love. President Obama's inspiration to the whole world on the power of change has earned him a Nobel Peace Prize. Mr. Obama credits wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, for being his rock.

The First Couple will be saluted by another strong Black couple, as Will and Jada Pinkett Smith host the Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11 in Norway, the day after the awards ceremony. Donna Summer, Wyclef Jean and others are set to perform, according to the Associated Press.

"The opportunity to recognize the laureate's contributions to the world peace movement will be an awe-inspiring experience," Will and Jada said in a statement. "We are both humbled and honored to take part in the Nobel Peace Prize Concert this year."—CJ
