Movin’ On Up: Ursula Burns Becomes CEO of Billion Dollar Business

Read our profile on Ursula Burns »

It's a move that has been expected for the last year. Xerox, which made $17.6 billion in sales last year, has named Ursula Burns, 50, its next chief executive officer, according to Business Week. Burns is the first African-American women to lead a public company this size. Former CEO, Anne Mulcahy, is stepping down but has been grooming Burns for years to take her place. Burns, who joined the company in 1980, holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University. She was named president of Xerox in 2007.-WLW
