Ready to Get Married?

Let ESSENCE help you put together a marriage proposal she'll never forget

Last February we helped six men plan surprise marriage proposals in the pages of this magazine. Millions logged on to essence.com to view the proposals and vote for the couple they wanted to receive a dream honeymoon. Now it could be your turn. If you're ready to propose marriage, tell us how you met your beloved, what makes your woman so special to you, and why you're looking forward to the future with her. Submissions should be sent to marryme@essence.com no later than September 30, 2007, along with your full name, address, daytime and evening phone numbers and a photo of you and your special lady.

Short and sweet i am a single woman thought that if you do the right things then marriage would last forever, i cook, clean works two sometimes three jobs raised my son's to very respectable men and both marriages ended up in the man cheating, is it me or am i picking the wromg men? i would like a part but right now i don't think it will happen four years ago i got hit by a drunk driver and he broked my neck so i was sick for a long time but i still held my own i worked, but didn't have any engry for anything else after working 16 hours a day, long story my then husband cheating on me while i was sick, which hurts so bad that now my mind and heart don't think it will ever happen for me, i am a good woman an very supportive of my man but need a man to be very supportive of me, can you help regain trust, i am 50 don't have alot of time but would like to meet some one nice not a lot of dating experience. missing the better half of me
